Hi All,
Just for interests sake, does anybody know what the actual resolving
power
of the 80/4.0 Macro is at the various apertures? I am hoping it's good
enough to be
basically diffraction-limited, and by reputation it's possibly the
finest 1:1
lens that covers a full 35mm frame in the world (the Ultra Micro
nikkors are amazing,
there are models that are diffraction-limited at f/1.2 and even f/1.0,
but almost none
of these exotic models do 1:1 or cover a 35mm frame, and some of them
only do specialised
wavelengths of light (UV, etc).
I know the 80/4.0 is bloody good, but I would like to satisfy my
boyish curiosity with
some technical information on just "how" good it is.
Anybody?
