Which surprises me. I've bought both a 200/4 and a 200/5 this year
and shot several rolls of film through them. I have been VERY pleased
with the results, and find that the 200mm lens are my second most
used focal length.
To date, I've not conducted a good side by side test, but have simply
been using the 200/5 when size and weight are an issue and the 200/4
when they aren't. However, within the next week or two, I'll make a
date with a local brick wall on a sunny day and will be happy to add
my impressions to the discussion.
