Having sent sample photos to two companies who specialise in IR conversions both have confirmed my €40 E-P1 is the recipient of a full spectrum IR conversion, funny enough some months back I was in touch with another company who sell old Nikon's with the IR conversion for around €200 but decided not to bite. So after thinking I'd fallen into a mucky ditch with this purchase but it now seems I've emerged from the ditch with a new suit.

So, make a profit. List on the ‘Bay as IR converted for more money, then
get an E-PM2 or pre 8 E-PLx.

Yes I've tried everything I could think of, compared side by side the
sensor looks quite different to the ones in my own e-p1, my e-pl1 & my
daughtera e-pl5 all of which look identical. Also updated to the most
recent firmware. I've looked at some IR images online & those taken without
lens filters look very similar to mine, I'll take more shots tomorrow &
post links. Another thing I notice is the autofocus & manual focus has no
effect & the view which only sharpens up with the lens at infinity.

Silly question but have you tried a reset to factory defaults as that
could be some in camera filter settings - not got that model, but have
ended up with dome strange images after it being in my camera bag or
played with by the kids 😉

I would expect the foliage to be brighter, Paul. Can you take a shot

I finally got round to using my recently acquired €40 Olympus E-P1,
Ive
had it a few weeks but was away & only stuck a battery in & powered
it
on before we went on holidays.

I posted a link to a image I took for appraisal, I actually think
the
camera has had the IR modification done to the sensor, if I insert
an SD
card with images taken on another body they are correctly displayed
on
its LCD screen so it's not a screen fault.

I examined both sensors side by side my own e-p1 & this recently
acquired body & there's a marked difference, my own has the usual
iridescent purple/ green hues whilst the other has a dull brownish
colour.
I'm open to correction from someone more knowledgable about IR
photography, see link for example
