Nice to hear from another long time lurker!

I just clicked 'buy' on a great condition silver E-P1 body €47 incl shipping from a local seller, we are off to Lloret De Mar (Spain) next week & will take it along as a walk-about snapper, happy days.

In my summary of all the E-xx MFT bodies, I have a note at the bottom:
----------
Almost all µ4/3 cameras suffered from “Shutter Shock”, a vibration from the shutter that creates motion blur in a certain range of commonly used shutter speeds. As the effect varies depending on lens used, it was often attributed to lenses at first.

Although completely undocumented by Olympus, missed by Dpreview and missed by me at first, the E-PL1, and all subsequent Pens, as far as I know, include a shutter delay feature deep in the menus, called “Anti-Shock”. The manuals never say so, but it has a range from 1/8-30 sec. The very shortest setting, 1/8 sec., almost completely eliminates the effect on images.
-----------

I don't recall from so long ago whether I named the E-PL1 as the first body with shutter shock compensation because I knew that to be true, or because I didn't know whether earlier models had it or not.

If it's the original battery, might be a good idea to buy a new, aftermarket
battery . . .

Have a great trip! We're leaving Boston area for Scotland this evening.
