Sorry, but I must get into my grumpy old man mode. Photography as an
artistic medium has fallen prey to the same divisiveness as out political
landscape. There remains a constant of thought among many that the only
valid form of photographic art is B&W and color is only suitable for family
snapshots. It's like an attitude that I remember form the fifties and
sixties that the only paintings that are art are oil paintings, acrylics
need not apply. Your sample is the perfect rebuttal of this foolishness. I
hope I'm not stereotyping, but it would seem from the single photo that this
woman is from a more tropical climate, and a culture that prefers colorful
clothing and things. By removing the color from that photo, you have
stripped away a good part of her identity. In color it captures the essence
of the subject. Good work!
