Thanks for that. I remember now reading that about 5:00am. I guess I didn't even remember what it was about at the
time as I didn't discover my own Lightroom CC problem until much later.
I resurrected your nicely detailed script, ran through it very carefully but have to report "no joy". I get exactly
the same result as before. Tells me it has to create a new format library, appears to do so and then immediately
crashes. Hmmm. Maybe what crashed it is that I never created a library before.
My experience was different than AG's. Based on his experience, I logged out of the CC desktop app and logged back on. I
tried to start LR, and it seemed that nothing was happening at all. After a few minutes, during which I was checking
what was running, scratching various body parts, etc., deciding if I had to reboot ..., a tab opened in FireFox to an
Adobe page that said I had to log in to register the product. I did that, and LR started to open.
I was then presented with the choice of updating my tiny test library - or not.
I said yes, and it opened up fine.
I guess I'll have to get on the horn with Adobe. No joy
Good luck!
One thing to remember about all the app/web octopi is that a log in in one place, at an entirely different time, may
mean one is logged in at a much later date in an apparently unrelated place on the web. Certainly true in my experience
of Google, Yahoo and Adobe.
