I love working in LAB. Unfortunately, that's about as oddball as they come.
The key to working in any colorspace other than sRGB is 16-bit per
channel. If you are working in 8-bit per channel, stick with sRGB.
Which is why most of the time with portraiture I just stick with sRGB.
In-camera JPEGs are sRGB, minor editing in sRGB, final output in sRGB.
