Collections require a whole new way of thinking. That said, I believe they
originally were designed for event shooters, sports types, etc. Much easier to
manage all the shots in a collection. But I'm starting to see the value for my
kind of work, too. For example, as I peruse my shoots, f I see a shot I think
will work, and I decide to give it a go in some serious processing, I label it
yellow. Anything labeled yellow goes automatically into a "Working" collection.
The file itself doesn't move. Just a LR pointer.
If the file makes it through the processing phase to the print and display
phase, well, I haven't quite got that far yet, but I'll let you know. <g>
