Thanks, Charlie. It is indeed a difficult situation.
I have advised my son to reject the claim on the grounds that, a) the
buyer paid for postage and did not pay for insurance; b) that he
should have rejected the goods within a much shorter time, perhaps a
week or so. Since the computer was posted on 13 November last year, 3
months is too long to exercise a claim.
