I'm about to mount a Bogen ball head to a wood board...primitive, but will
get me closer to the ground than I can with any of my tripods...even my
Bogen with the horizontal post. We'll see how this goes. Saw this
inexpensive solution in Larry West's "How to Photograph Insects &
Spiders..." (Stackpole books ISBN: 0-8117-2453-0)
But I like the looks of the Cullmann Macro that Hans put up a link to...looks like it has two ball joints. Anyone know of a source for this in the US?
