For two summers when I was working in a darkroom extensively, I used a
window or "box" fan to ventilate. It had three speeds, but I used the
lowest because it moved so much air. (as a child, I remember my father
using one to vent hot air from the house in summer. One night he turned
it on high upstairs, and before he could get downstairs to open a window
for cool air, he had sucked soot from down the chimney.)
It cost about $15USD. It requires a baffle to keep the light out but is
simple to wire and use. There are probably more elegant and specialized
fans available, but personally, I'd rather spend money on cameras <g>
