I notice You are using an A9, which is 24mp. A7Rv is 62mp or about
1.6 times more linear sampling. Sony has to make sharp lenses if
they are to match their cameras. My go to lenses are the 20-70/4 and
the 70-200/2.8 II with sometimes adding the 1.4x. Everyone has
there preferred system and it is a wonderful time for photography.
Indeed!!. I'm just amazed at the things my OM-1 II bodies can do; some things that I imagined but never expected to have
and others I didn't even imagine.
When I go back to my A7iii images, 24mp, I rarely feel there is not
enough resolution.
That was my conclusion when I added an A7R II to my A7 II.
For my uses, web images, 8x10 ish book pages and prints up to 16x20, all the 42 MP images did was make files bigger and
processing slower. 🙂
Of course, I use the FF Sony almost only for converted film lenses, mostly vintage and contemporary intentionally
optically flawed lenses, LensBaby, TTartisan, etc. Occasionally for OM, esp macro, and the Voightländer 10/5.6.
