Good that you have range and made room for the beast. I have a foot in 3 camps
(grew another one?) with OM, Sonnie and Oly MFT. I can't see carrying more than the PL
100-400--the new version will take a TC but the old one will if take off a dust shield.
Really? Perhaps only at longer FLs? I seem to recall checking, and finding not a shield in the way, but glass right back
at the rear end; no room for the TC protrusion.
Of course, it only matters, photographically, at the longer FLs, but that would
mean putting it on and off a lot.
The nice thing about Oly 100-400 with TC is that the EXIF is perfect; the effective/adjusted FL and aperture are shown,
and the lens name includes the TC name.
I should trade mine in but it is a particularly good one. If OK with greater than 4
lbs, rather carry the Oly 150-400. I like my MF primes on Sonne but it can be a pain
getting all the dust on the sensor.
I've had about zero trouble with dust on the Sonys. I seem to recall one cleaning? Mostly 'cause I've only shot them
around home? Oh yeah, and in a BnB, and a garden - but still, lens changes mostly inside. Very little field use with
lens changes.
OM-1 is much better in that regard.
It IS nice not to need to worry about that with the Oly/OMSs
FF for Astrolandcape and film Zuikos is tough to beat and have a Siggie
20/1.4. I like the microcontrast of the Loxia 25/1.4 in that focal range and would
get the 1.4 for astro if the Loxia weren't such a nice landscape lens.
