If I could not manage to eliminate it in Vuescan and with the lighting in the
scanner, I would try another way.
I'd use my copy stand or a tripod, and take a digital picture.

I have tried using the descreen option in Vuescan, but that didn't help much. I am using an HP Officejet Pro 8715
(same as 8710 in other markets).
