newer AF version, now that I reflect on it. I bet you are correct.
IIRC ,however I believe Walt liked the Tamron 28-105/2.8. I remember
looking at that lens in my first B&H catalog and pleased one could purchase
a brand spanking new lens for OM. This was just a year or so after I
joined the list. I posted a question as had others and recall a few
"doorstop" comments or some such and found the Photodo MTF score 2.4. I
am not saying one number can reflect the use of a lens to a given photog but
it does show the lens has some limitations.
I don't recall if he liked the 35-105/2.8 too.
A reasonable Waltism or two included.
