John could not repair the stiff zoom and odd focusing issue my mint copy 
developed.  Yours has been on at least two overseas trips since it took up 
guest residence in New England.
It probably would have made it to Mendocino,  sigh.  I am still curious as to 
when it was produced and why it doesn't make the Adaptall-2 list.
