I haven't found that to be a problem, Chris. I have an old Nikon Coolpix
( with CF card) that I have rigged up to take photomicrographs for our
weekly hospital Tumor Board. I have used it weekly for about 10 years. The
card has been plugged and unplugged about a thousand times with no problem.
Just don't rush it.
