I do not recommend people use this procedure! Especially with newer cameras.
Follow Ken's advice. It is better to be safe than sorry.
As I said previously, I HAVE had a problem moving files Jan's way. If I do this
with my Sony A7iii it messes up the camera's indexing. When I put the SD card
back in the camera, you cannot view any of the photos that were not deleted.
Maybe there is a way to reindex, so I end up reformating the card anyway.
