I will give that a try.
Where would I find the key? If I can locate that, then maybe I can create
a new Win7 HD with one of those recovery disks from eBay that kave no key.
The OEM drivers are not a problem. I purchased a full driver disk for
this laptop a couple of years ago from an eBay seller in Harrisburg who
specialises in such things.
I don't keep data on hard drives any more, just applications. All data is
kept on a 16G thumb drive.

After what I saw them do to the wifi at a local coffee shop, I want to
avoid 19CL for any internet service. I've had Earthlink for many years now,
and except for the occasional equipment failures they've been fine.
