Just stick to the speed limit, Brian. If you can do it when your detector
bleeps you can do it any other time.
I have mentioned this here before, but when you learn to fly you learn a scan
that goes something like Lookout – attitude – instruments. This work cycle
enables you to keep your lookout going and your flying accurate. I have
thought for a long time that driving would be safer if everyone did something
similar at the wheel on the road.
