Have you driven in France Lately (non motorway) - it seems they have
designed the speed limits to purposely make drivers break the law and
catch them doing so changing limits seemingly at random and with
frequent cameras, I am sorry but I can't believe its safer having to
check your speed and road signs so often when you should be
concentrating on other factors around you like looking out for a texting
driver coming towards you.
