Years ago my wife's grandparents used to get blocks of American Cheese that
were distributed from government warehouses. I think it was excess product
purchased by the Feds to help support the price. It was very good, far
better than the Kraft Singles available in the grocery store. Great with
Mac & Cheese as it would also brown nicely on top.
