I've never even looked at a GX7 until just now on DPReview. What I see
there that interests me is the tiltable EVF and its placement to the
left (good for a left-eyed shooter) to avoid covering the even better
placed AF lock button. The power switch solution is nice but doesn't
excite me at all. I can never recall drawing my camera and wanting to
instantly switch on to capture some fast moving action. Maitani
apparently thought that was so important that he left the power switches
off the OM-2s and later electronic cameras. The only thing that ever
did for me was cause me to be a bit ticked by having to remove batteries
from infrequently used cameras. There is an even better solution to
that... a power switch that *I* can choose to leave on or off depending
on my use of the camera.

My biggest complaint is that, although they made the on/off switch
location MUCH better, it's still not as convenient and intuitive as the
GX7.* Randomly, the EVF is better, shutter shock problems are gone,
control wheels are thicker and better placed, there's an AF lock Fn
button where Chuck wants one, more physical Fn buttons than I have any
use for, dedicated ( but reassignable) DoF preview button, and on and on
... Although it won't satisfy AG and others who need a very deep grip or
a big brick in their hands, :-) the grip has been subtly, but
usefully, improved for my hand.

* I know, Chuck, but you haven't actually used a GX7. Both my Panny µ4/3
bodies have superior on/off switches. My fingers seem to just know where
they are intuitively. One hand operation, without reaching across the body.
