I sat through a wonderful seminar recently (David Burnett) where he used Nyekon
throughout.
I wuld DARE correct one such as he.
But it grated my nerves.
I've checked.
It was once Nippon Kogaku (Japan Optical).
Would you say Nyepon?
Short 'I'
And I've checked with native speakers who fix cameras.
They're just too polite to tell you.
So long as you keep buying them.
Stop it immediately.
Or else.
