Just had one of those thoughts. I've seen plenty of Russian characters with the brand name in Cyrillic script (KNEB anyone). I've seen Chinese cameras with the name in either ideograms, Pin Yin (roman syllables) or English - such as You Yi and Friendship But I have never ever seen a Japanese characters with a brand name, company name , lens name or shutter name in characters - not even the simplified script (Kanji?) The adverts seem to have the names in Japanese but not the machines. Anyone got a reason for this?
