What thinks the group?
Bob, rather than adding the 4 C's to your list of products, which it sounds
like is really an attempt to keep people from "wasting" your time, why not
add another product which encourages people to spend money with you and
also may encourage folks to buy the product you originally offered for sale.
The product being a short course in photography. This is what they are
asking for when they come in with all their questions. Given that yours is a
tourist area your gallery/workshop could become an excuse for a fun
weekend destination for the folks who have an interest in photography but don't
want to spend the time and money with the folks down the road who offer
week-long and longer workshops. This people asking all the questions are
spending the big bucks on cameras they don't know how to use. Why not give
them
a little information and take them on a field trip to get them making
better images. They aren't going to compete with you and they will send their
friends and neighbors your way. Some will take your weekend class, others
will buy photographs . . . you generate income regardless of their choice.
Offering instruction in the form of a short course gives you another way
to engage in the conversation with folks who really just want information
of how to create more pleasing images.
