I handled an E-1 once shortly after announcement in a Boston area store.
When I went back to take an in-depth look a few months later there were
no more E-things to be found. Since 2007 I have lived in a small area
with no real camera stores within about 80 miles. Consequently I've
never seen a real E-thing except briefly in someone else's hands. My
knowledge (such as it is) of the E-things comes from trying to read and
understand the manuals. Descriptions of the features and how to use
them seems especially opaque compared to Canon or Minolta... although it
would be difficult to outdo Canon for opaqueness in the description of
many "custom functions"... a hodgepodge of poor design, lack of
forethought and camera model to model incompatibility.
