No, not tortured at all. He and Ken Rockwell are my heros.
It was really cool what happened a few years ago. The E-3 was
announced and I was going to be buying it. (remember the E-3? Way
obsolete and worthless now...). A couple of fellow list members
blessed me with this OM-4T and I got so excited about shooting the OM
system again that I never did buy the E-3. I did eventually pick up a
bargain-priced DMC-L1 kit, but that was only a minor distraction.
Since then, the Olympus Living History Farm has grown with other odds
and ends (OM-3Ti, OM-4T, lenses, etc), that nothing in digital has
even remotely gotten me seriously thinking of buying it until the
NEX-7 and now Fujifilm XPro1. If I can ignore these urges long enough,
I know they too will go away and the replacements will be the newest
cats-meow--especially if they are full-frame.
Just as a point of comparison, the DMC-L1 and XPro1 have a lot of
similarities. I just hope that Fujifilm's implementation is better.
