Wandering about shooting with Bob is fun. On a casual walk near home, I'm
carrying 60D with 28-300 and a modest fanny
pack just big enough for the 11-22. Bob's carrying D300 and a couple of lenses.
Pretty well balanced.
On a 'trek' away from home to a new to Bob, scenic spot*, he's carrying a huge
SlingShot with D3, 70-200/2,8, big
tripod, other lenses, and God knows what all else. Looks like about 50 lbs. :-)
I've added my light tripod on shoulder
strap.
Does a heavy load make you stronger, so you last longer, or wear you out
prematurely?

What if the Hokey Pokey *IS* what it's all about?
