Down here in Phoenix (actually Tempe) I've had a grand total of 2.05" for
the year. That's about a third to a half of our average rainfall for this time
of year, annual totals being around 8.4". And we've tied or broken more
temperature records than I care to think of. One of those is we just had the
hottest August ever recorded. All other record months were set in July.
