DPreview test of HDR function on Pentax K-x <http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/pentaxkx/page18.asp> I suspect the K-r and K-7 function will be found to be the same but didn't find a specific test... maybe from not looking hard enough. Testing treatment for HDR seems to be inconsistent.
