Language usage

If you said in New Zealand (or maybe Australia as well) 
"I'm really pissed", people would understand that you were *very* drunk.

Paralytic, in other words. On your ear.

If you said "I'm really pissed off", people would understand that you were 
seriously annoyed.   ....  The word "off" makes all the difference. :-)
