Actually, that bit's fairly simple. Put a winder 2 on each body and
connect the winders with a 2.5mm jack lead. That will fire them
simultaneously. You'll need a rigid strip of metal of some sort to
mound the two cameras side by side, which will need to be drilled and
tapped 1/4" BSW for the tripod socket screws.
So, instead of all those bodies & lenses, what you should have bought is:
2 bodies
2 winder 2s
2 each of a few lenses
2 varimagnis (if you planned to do stereo macro)
A soldering iron, stand and solder.
Some single core & screen cable
2 2.5mm jack plugs
A bench or floor-standing drill press
Centre-punch
Some drill bits
1/4" bsw taps
A couple of cheap old tripods (just for the mounting screws).
Not sure that lot will really take up much less space though ;)

The earlier ones were taken using this method.

Stand firm for what you believe in, until and unless logic and experience
prove you wrong. Remember: when the emperor looks naked, the emperor *is*
naked, the truth and a lie are not "sort-of the same thing" and there is
no aspect, no facet, no moment of life that can't be improved with pizza.
