A photographer friend of mine told me a few years ago that in order to
be a famous photographer, it is necessary to tell people that you are
a famous photographer. Not in so many words, of course, but by clever
"placement", marketing and such. Perhaps that's at the root of
Starbuck's success. I agree the coffee just ain't that good.
