Cane toads are also a problem in south Florida (in the vicinity of the
cane fields) where they're usually just called bufos. I've killed and
disposed of many of them because of the dog. As to crow intelligence I
wouldn't be surprised. I was just reading an article about intelligence
in corvids (crows, jays) and the research shows some intelligent
behaviors that seem to be competitive with chimps.
