IMHO, if possible - always choose epidural.
Your anaesthetist ( yeah! - put the 'h' where it should be ! ) shall
advice better, but I'm fed up of assisting confusional states
(delirium) during the recovery of general anaesthics. I clearly
remember my own when I was 13, these are very vivid dreamy
experiences. Mine happened in 1973, it's supposed to have improved by
now. Still, I'm fed up but YMMV.
