The Kodak Portra films are all new. The colors are the same, but the grain
is incredibly improved--especially in the ISO 400 versions. As to scanning,
the base is now slightly milky (frosted) to improve scanning.
Fuji 160S has been improved recently, as well. I think Fuji just
slipstreamed the changes in without making a big deal out of it. I'm not
sure exactly what changed or when, but 160S is now my preferred color print
film and the colors/contrast are essentially a perfect knockoff of what I'm
getting with the E-1.
