Kingston is on the Montreal-Toronto highway, a university town with
quite a few old stone buildings.
In either of those cities & perhaps others, Lone Star Cafe has good
Mexican food. Started by a Texan who played pro football for Ottawa.

That area's first major influx of immigration was "united empire loyalists",
people leaving the US during or just after the revolution.
