Crocus bulbs multiply if they survive. Squirrels don't like certain
varieties, they must smell different. When we plant new bulbs we cover
the area with chicken wire for the winter, then uncover in spring. Just
took the "hardware cloth " off the pond, hoping the Blue Heron won't
show up.
