The lack of print making is why our "friends" at Ritz and other photo
establishments are no more. My son and daughter download and backup
their digital photos onto hard drives or gold DVDs but only because they
have been carefully instructed by me. A lot of folks do download their
photos for sharing on the web but have no idea that their hard drives
will not be spinning for the next 100 years. But others, as you
suggest, probably don't even know there's a memory card behind that
little door or that it even is a little door. They've never read the
instruction manual.
