I was originally going to buy the Konica-Minolta D7D, but was rightly
concerned about the reliability of the unit. KM quality-control was HORRID
in those days. By that time, the E-1 had been out for some time and had the
reputation of being a brick outhouse. YOU of all people know how green I
looked after my avalanche of rocks pounded the snot out of my E-1, but it
has never missed a beat.
If I recall correctly, your first clue of the incident was the blocked path
back to the trail by the debris.
