I know nothing about the structure of the E-410 or why tin oxide is used
as filter coatings ahead of some sensors. I only know that Photographic
Solutions recommends Eclipse 2 vs Eclipse for cameras that have a tin
oxide coating supposedly to prevent damage to the tin oxide from
straight methanol. Their web site specifies that Eclipse 2 be used on
an E-410. That's all I know. Perhaps there is a tin oxide coating on
the plastic membrane or maybe it is possible to spill or drip methanol
behind the membrane directly onto the sensor.
