I'd venture that the high dynamic range is much more important for
most. Slow it is indeed in many ways but lovely it is too. Slow food
is better than fast. And the whole 6mp - 12mp thing is a nest of
worms. Images are every bit as good as the D200 and better in many
ways. All pixels are NOT created equal.
