Jeff,

Thanks for the info on the ebay seller. He has a lot of OM lenses new in the
box, so that combined with his ebay name made me think it was Olympus
selling the stuff. 

Good guess on the aperture used for that photo, I believe it was 5.6. I
didn't go wider open because I wanted the woman's face and the button she
had on her shirt to be all in focus while leaving the background blurred. I
was afraid I'd lose the button or part of her head (I focused on her eyes)
with a wider aperture. The 50 f1.8 is pretty ugly wider too. I have a lot
light shot done at 2.8 that has awful bokeh, but the lens does have the
virtue of being extremely sharp even at f2.8.
