I have the exact same equipment (Bogen 3249B and head) and it works
fine. As long as it's tall enough for you I see no real problems. I
needed the head to bring the viewfinder up to a comfortable level,
since I'm about 6'3". Works well if it's screwed into the bottom of a
winder/motor drive, but if it's screwed to a lens with a tripod ring
it's still just about an inch too low for me to use comfortably.
