Order of magnitude, with inflation, would be $20,000+. The D2X is $4595.
Expensive, yes, but not that far off from a $1200 OM-4Ti in the 80s
To be more accurate, OM 4T's did not reach $1200 until the very late 1990's.
I purchased 3 new OM 4 T's in the '90's. Two from Competitive Camera in
Dallas in 1992 for $595.00 each and the third from B& H in 1995 for a little
more.
