Funny you should say that.
Luton Camera repairs was where I had it done.

May I enquire as to who this "supposed Olympus Specialist" was, and why
you were dissatisfied?
I was unhappy with Luton Camera Repairs. According to our local camera
shop, I am not the only one, and they don't like sending cameras to
them, either.
There are a couple of different repairers in Wallingford; there is a
lack of sufficient information as whether they are any good.
The other one I know of is Colchester Camera Repairs, which specialise
in Olympus and Canon. They have had at least one good report here. I
currently have a camera with them. I will report back when I get it
back.
I think it's important we try to build up a list of good/bad repairers
in the UK. I'm sure we will have a mixed bag of opinions, but at least
something is better than nothing. Likely as not we will all need one
some day; as individuals we are nothing, but as a group we may hold some
sway.
Regards,
Simon
