Does anyone have input on Steve Gandy's adapters? I just checked out
his website and he has some interesting stuff including a E-1 OM adapter
for $175 and a Canon Eos to OM for the same price. Anyone used these?
I may reconsider selling off some of these OM lenses.

Subject: [OM] Re: OM to E adaptor, Oz perspective
Well, I contacted Olympus Australia today re. the adapter and was told
that
they had made a policy decision that they would not be supplying it in
Oz.
The lady I spoke to trotted out the usual BS about the OM lenses not
being
suitable for a digital camera, when I mentioned that Canon, Nikon &
Pentax
seemed to disagree she said something like "...oh but the 4/3 system is
completely different to their cameras...". I said that based on that I
should then buy a Canon 300D with an OM adapter after which she
suggested I
write a letter to the marketing manager.
Has anyone in Oz bought an E-1 or E-300 and managed to get the MA-1 free
?
Can anyone offer any good reason why I should buy an E-300 instead of a
Canon 300D (bearing in mind that the adapter for each is available from
Steven Gandy for the same price) ?
thoroughly p*ssed off,
...Wayne
