Indeed, the Olympus Pen has been produced by a subcontractor of Olympus in
1959 and 1960 till Olympus took over the production in 1960.
But, what about the dummies Pen. Mine has a shutter marked Copal , and not
Copal X, despite the fact that it has a flash plug on the left side on the
front side, seen from the back. Its serial number is 134189.
I wonder me why dummies have been made from this camera, which was a rather
simple and not too expensive one.
In my opinion, it does not make sense to build dummies from cameras with low
production costs, unless at the beginning of the production, the quanties
were not so large.
