Which I suppose brings us back to Olympus's claims about the lenses
designed specifically for the E-1, and their reticence to have people
use OM lenses, good as they may be, on the E-1. ;-) The proof, I would
think, would be in the results.

As someone point out you need a long rear lens to CCD distance or a
large rear element with size same as CCD to give a more parallel light,
the 17-40L does not possess either of this.
